Drugs found after traffic stop, chase

Like a scene out of a Cheech and Chong movie, Sharon police arrested a man on drug charges after pulling his car over and finding it filled with pot smoke.

Sean Jose Rain, 24, of 811 Fruit Ave., Farrell, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver, possession of a small amount of marijuana and escape, police said.

Police said they saw a car speeding and pulled it over on Irvine Avenue and Emmanuelle Place at 2:17 a.m. Saturday. Police said the car was filled with marijuana smoke, and police said they asked Rain, who was driving, to step out.

Police said Rain got out of the car and ran; they caught him in the 800 block of South Stateline Road.

Rain had about 70 individually wrapped packages of suspected crack cocaine totaling 13.8 grams on him, police said. He also had 6.18 grams of marijuana, other drug paraphernalia and $632, police said.
