1 of 3 admits to role in child porn
A Pittsburgh man has admitted having photographs of child pornography that were taken by a Pine Township man, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Pittsburgh.
Gerald E. Goebert pleaded guilty Tuesday to a charge of possessing child pornography.
According to an indictment handed down Jan. 23, Richard Carroll, 37, of 447 Irishtown Road, Pine Township, sexually molested and took nude photographs of a child between December 1999 and May 2000 in Pittsburgh.
The child was between the ages of 11 and 13, officials said.
Carroll, Goebert and Sharon Dorsch, 42, who lives with Goebert, were charged with sexual exploitation of a minor, possessing child pornography, failing to notify authorities of a felony and accessory after the fact
Carroll and Ms. Dorsch have entered not guilty pleas. No hearings have been set in their cases, said a spokesman for U.S. District Court Judge William Standish.
Carroll and Goebert have been held in custody, while Ms. Dorsch has been released.
Goebert is to be sentenced at 9:30 a.m. June 25. He faces 2 to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
