Photo booth rental is the
fastest-growing trend in wed-
dings this decade.
But until now, couples
from the Mercer County re-
gion have had to search far
and wide to find a company
willing to deliver a booth to
the area. Personal Paparazzi
is the first locally owned and
operated photo booth rental
company between Pittsburgh
and Erie.
With a local company, it is
now affordable for every cou-
ple to have a photo booth
present for their big day.
The $1,000-plus price tag
made photo booths a luxury
most couples had to cut from
the budget, but now the op-
tion is available for less than
half the price. For the last
six months, Personal Pa-
parazzi has been photograph-
ing local couples in their
state-of-the-art photo booth.
The classic boardwalk
photo booth experience has
been updat-
ed for the
21st century.
Packed with
wide screen
digital moni-
tors and top-of-the-line photo-
graphic equipment, the “Pa-
parazzi Booth” fits up to 10
guests and prints out crystal
clear photo strips in seconds.
At every event people line up
for their turn in the booth,
and the line never dwindles
until last call.
Personal Paparazzi does
not limit its services to wed-
dings, photo booths are the
perfect addition for birthday
parties, anniversaries, re-
unions, school functions or
any other celebration.
Recently, Personal Pa-
parazzi booked reservations
for several local high school
prom and homecoming
dances.
Personal Paparazzi is fami-
ly operated by Sherry and
Brett Ansell, mother and son
from Jackson Center.
Sherry has more than 30
years’ experience running her
own styling salon, where she
has styled hair for hundreds
of bridal parties. Brett is a
graduate of the Pittsburgh
Technical Institute with a de-
gree in multimedia technolo-
gies, specializing in graphic

Co-owner, Apple Castle
This past year was quite a
year for us at the Apple Cas-
tle. It was 150 years ago
when Josiah Smith Johnston
bought 147 acres of land sit-
uated in what is now Wilm-
ington Township, Lawrence
County.
Last May, Steven John-
ston became the sixth gener-
ation to grow fruit and nur-
ture the land which has been
in our family since 1861.
It is amazing to look at
how some things have
changed over the years,
while others have not varied
in the slightest. In the late
1800’s, 54 apple trees were
planted per acre, taking six
to ten years before bearing
fruit. This spring we will be
planting an orchard block
with 726 trees per acre, bear-
ing fruit in about three years.
Despite the advances in
orchard management, one
thing remains the same.
Each and every apple is
picked by hand, one at a
time.
We think
that is part
of
the
essence of
why apple
farming can be so rewarding.
There is something that feels
so good about growing an
apple because it involves
working with your hands,
the soil, taking everything
that Mother Nature throws
at you and creating some-
thing that is healthy and deli-
cious.
It is with joy that this time
of year allows us to reflect
upon the happenings of our
family business and discover
the dreams that lie ahead.
Celebrating 150 years of
growing fruit on our farm
was wonderful. Yet looking
towards the next 150 years
of growing fruit truly makes
us excited.
Buy fresh. Buy local.
Know your farmer and sup-
port your neighbor.
