Today's obituaries Infant DeAvion Coleman Infant DeAvion Coleman, of 1150 Hamilton Ave., Farrell, died Friday (9-13-02) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. DeAvion was born Friday in Sharon to Davia Coleman. Surviving are: two brothers, DeShawn and DeAndre Coleman, at home; his grandmother, Donna Grannison of Farrell; his grandfather, David Coleman of Oregon; and several nieces and nephews. DeAvion was preceded in death by great-grandparents and an uncle, Al Moore.
COLEMAN Walter E. Brubach Hermitage man served in World War II Walter E. Brubach, of 330 Rexford Drive Apartment 22, Hermitage, died at 6 p.m. Thursday (9-12-02) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System after an extended illness. He was 77. Mr. Brubach was born Oct. 16, 1924, in Pittsburgh to Justus Brubach and Elsie Henning Brubach. He graduated in 1942 from Brentwood High School in Pittsburgh and attended Penn State Shenango. He worked for the Bureau of Mines as a technician and then for Pittsburgh Gage Company in sales. In 1951 he moved to the Sharon branch and became branch manager before retiring in 1990. Mr. Brubach was a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Sharon. He served in the United States Air Corps during World War II in England and in the South Pacific. He was a former Sunday school teacher for the First Baptist Church of Sharon, a member of the Masonic Lodge 269 and a member of the New Castle Consistory F&AM. Surviving are: his wife, Phyllis Peterson Brubach, whom he married Oct. 15, 1949; a daughter, Mrs. Michael (Sandra) O'Connell of Granger, Ind.; two sons, David and his wife Renee Brubach of St. Louis, Mo., and Mark and his wife Patricia Brubach of Columbus, Ohio; and grandchildren Jenni-fer and Andrew O'Connell and Zachary, Erica and Ryan Brubach. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, May Morrissey; and an infant niece, Ruth Morrissey. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
BRUBACH Jeanne L. Bridenbaugh Jeanne L. Bridenbaugh, of 182 S. Barry Road, West Salem Township, died at 8:05 a.m. Saturday (9-14-02) in UPMC Horizon, Greenville. She was 86. Obituary information was incomplete.
BRIDENBAUGH Olive Addicott Card player worked at Sharon Steel during WWII Olive Addicott, of 4400 Clifford Drive, Hermitage, formerly of Mercer RD 1, died at 4:25 p.m. Friday (9-13-02) in the hospital at Sharon Regional Health System of heart failure. She was 89. Mrs. Addicott was born Aug. 26, 1913, in Lackawannock Township to Clarence C. Struble and Edith M. Minner. She worked for what was Shenango Valley Osteopathic Hospital, Farrell, for 10 years as a clerk in the lobby shop before retiring in 1974. She previously worked at Sharon Steel during World War II. Mrs. Addicott was a member of Unity Presbyterian Church in Lackawannock Township, the Widow's Card Club in Hermitage and Wednesday Night Card Club at Monticello Apartments. She married Theodore Addicott on June 7, 1930. He died Oct. 13, 1980. Surviving are: two daughters, Nancy Miller and her husband Keith of Lackawannock Township, and Sandra Nicoloff and her husband Richard of West Middlesex; a son, Richard Addicott of Mercer; a brother, John Struble of Grove City; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Mabel McNaugher, Mary Fryman and Thelma Jordan; and a brother, Howard Struble. ADDICOTT Mary Stewart Glenn West Salem resident was former Mercer librarian Mary Stewart Glenn, of 339 E. Jamestown Road, West Salem Township, formerly of Mercer, died at 11:15 a.m. Friday (9-13-02) in St. Paul Homes, West Salem Township, after an extended illness. She was 90. Mrs. Glenn was born Sept. 9, 1912, in Monongahela, Pa., to Linus Eugene and Lois Wightman Stewart. She married J. Howard Glenn on June 18, 1942. He died in 1986. Mrs. Glenn was a librarian for Mercer Area Junior-Senior High School for 25 years, from 1953 to 1978, and spent 45 years in the public school system. She attended East Washington grade school in Washington, Pa., and graduated from Mercer High School in 1929. She earned a bachelor of science in education at what was Slippery Rock Teacher's College in 1933 and an elementary school certification in 1934. She did graduate work at Youngstown State University and Syracuse University's Chatauqua Program and earned a library science master's equivalent in 1959. Mrs. Glenn was a teacher at Dilley and Stonepile rural schools in East Lackawannock Township, a fourth grade teacher at Mercer Elementary school and taught math, writing, English, art and reading at Mercer Junior High School and history and problems of democracy at Mercer Senior High School. She was the secretary of Mercer Free Public Library for 20 years and treasurer for the Mercer County Junior Red Cross for 20 years. She was a Sunday school teacher at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Mercer, a Republican Committee woman, a substitute librarian at Sharpsville High School, a life member of the Pennsylvania Library Association, a member of the Pennsylvania State Education Association, a member of the Mercer County Teacher's Association and a member of the Pennsylvania School Retirees. Between 1978 and 1980, Mrs. Glenn was a Regional Correctional Institute library volunteer worker and was listed in Who's Who in the East in 1991 and 1992. She served as chairman of Middle States Evaluation Library Committee in schools of Pennsylvania and New York state. She was a volunteer in the library at the State Regional Correctional Facility in Findley Township for 12 years. Mrs. Glenn was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church for more than 60 years. She is survived by her caregiver and very special friend, Donald McCracken of Greenville; two nephews; four nieces; and 14 great nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lois S. Robinson; and two brothers, L. Dickson Stewart and Thomas Wightman Stewart.

VATH Michael J. Esposito Sr. Michael J. Esposito Sr., of 408 Beechwood Ave., Farrell, died at 4:25 a.m. Saturday (9-14-02) in the hospital at Sharon Regional Health System after an extended illness. He was 84.
ESPOSITO Pasquale 'Pat' D'Avanzo Niles resident was born in Italy, was avid Browns fan Pasquale "Pat" D'Avanzo, 48, of 220 Hyde Ave., Niles, died Friday (9-13-02) at the Cleveland Clinic. He was 48. Mr. D'Avanzo was born Aug. 22, 1954 in Avella, Italy, to Antonio and Maria Russo D'Avanzo. He was self-employed for 25 years at Rocco's Pizza Shop in Girard, Ohio. He was a member of Open Door Community Church in McDonald, Ohio Mr. D'Avanzo enjoyed soccer and playing cards and was an avid Browns fan. He married Christine M. Polois on Sept. 27, 1980. Surviving are: his wife; his father, of Mt. Laurel, N.J.; a daughter, Maria P. D'Avanzo, at home; two sisters, Jenny Yanno of New York and Paula Coppola of Wayne, Pa.; and two brothers, Guiseppe D'Avanzo of Mt. Laurel, N.J., and Carmen D'Avanzo of McDonald, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his mother; a sister, Theresa Capriglione; and two brothers, Saverio D'Avanzo and Steve D'Avanzo.

STYLE Beulah Mae Howard Grove City woman was homemaker, Protestant Beulah Mae Howard, of 1655 Butler-Mercer Pike, formerly of Blaine Street, Grove City, where she lived for 50 years, died at 5 a.m. Saturday (9-14-02) in United Community Hospital, Pine Township. She was 91. Mrs. Howard was born Sept. 20, 1910, in Connoquenessing, Pa., to John Jacob Nolsheim and Mary Magdelena Shilling. She married Thomas C. Howard on April 11, 1936. He died on June 15, 1967. Mrs. Howard was a homemaker and a former secretary for her husband in the former Thomas C. Howard Insurance Agency in Grove City. She was a graduate of Butler High School and Butler Business College. She was of the Protestant faith. Surviving are: a son, Ronald F. Howard and his wife, Barbara, of Mercer; a daughter-in-law, Donna L. Howard of Grove City; four nieces, Betsy Kohlmiller, Joanne Nelsheim, Paula Randall and Elizabeth Christenson; seven grandchildren, Cheryl Howard Magee, Thomas P. Howard Jr., Maureen Howard Bennett, Ronald F. Howard II, David J. Howard, Christyan Howard Allan and Lee Ann Howard Davisson; and 15 great-grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas P. Howard, and a brother, Earl Nolsheim.
HOWARD Dennis E. Rhoades Avid hunter enjoyed NASCAR Dennis E. Rhoades, of 2180 Ridgelawn Drive, Hermitage, died unexpectedly at 4:50 p.m. Friday (9-13-02) in the hospital at Sharon Regional Health System. He was 52. Mr. Rhoades was born April 27, 1950, in Sharon, to Frederick O. Rhoades and Betty M. Achenbach Rhoades. He was a 1968 graduate of Hickory High School and attended Edinboro University. He was employed as a general foreman for a year and a half at Legacy Industries, Farrell, and previously worked as a supervisor at Stambaugh Home Improvement Center for 10 years and at the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp. as a coil winder. Mr. Rhoades was a member of Central Christian Church on Meadowbrook Road in Hermitage. He was an avid hunter and a member of Ducks Unlimited. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR. Surviving are: three sons, Dennis Rhoades and his wife Jodi of Elkton, Ohio, and Joshua and Zachary Rhoades, at home; a brother, Frederick O. Rhoades Jr., of Sharpsville; an aunt, Alice Rhoades of Hermitage; two grandchildren, Lucas Rhoades and Rory Bryer; and two nieces, Karry Turner and her husband, David, and Kellie Sickafus and her husband, Michael. He was preceded in death by his parents.
