BUHL DAY is the area's annual picnic in the park on Labor Day. The park is the 300-acre Buhl Farm in Hermitage. It was among the myriad philanthropic gifts to the people of the valley from turn-of-the-century Sharon industrialist Frank H. Buhl and his wife, Julia. Buhl Day is an annual family event in tribute the Buhls and the spirit of their gifts to the working man. The event also recognizes selected individuals whose activities make them honored members of the community. |
