Rose DeFalco Sharpsville school cafeteria retiree was St. Bart's member Funeral services will be held Tuesday for Rose DeFalco, 441 S. 9th St., Sharpsville, who died at 4:50 p.m. Friday (2-1-02) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System following a brief illness. She was 90. She was born Nov. 14, 1911, in Youngstown to Ottavaino and Angeline Naples. Before retiring, Mrs. DeFalco was employed 15 years in the Pebly School cafeteria, Sharpsville. She was a member of St. Bartholomew's Church, Sharpsville, and its Altar Rosary Society. Mrs. DeFalco was a life member of Mercer County School Retirees and belonged to the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees. She was also a member of The Retired Person's Association. Her husband, Vincent J. DeFalco, whom she married Nov. 28, 1929, preceded her in death May 27, 1988. Surviving are: one daughter, Donna Garrett and her husband, Charles, Hermitage; one son, Gerald and his wife, Sharon, Aurora, Ohio; four grandchildren, Christopher Garrett, Diana Garrett Allen, Susan DeFalco, and Gerald DeFalco, Jr.; three great-grandchildren, Dylan and Emily Garrett, and Luke Allen; two sisters, Mary Sweeney, Youngs-town; and Ann Nackino, Jacksonville, Fla.; and four brothers, Samuel and William Naples, both Youngs-town; Albert Naples, Canfield; and John Naples, Ocean City, Calif. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Pasqualina DeFalco; an infant son; one sister, Madeline Siquisto; and one brother, Daniel Naples. DEFALCO Renee Annette Rubano Renee Annette Rubano, 546 Shenango Blvd., Farrell, passed away at 2:40 p.m. Saturday (2-2-02) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System after an extended illness. She was 41. Obituary information was incomplete.
RUBANO Timothy Weldon '75 Hickory High graduate was union brick mason Timothy Weldon, 535 Dutch Lane, Hermitage, passed away Friday (2-1-02) in Montefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh, following an extended illness. He was 45. He was born Dec. 10, 1956, in Sharon to John H. and Goldie Mikulin Weldon. Mr. Weldon was a 1975 alumnus of Hickory High School, Hermitage. A brick mason, he belonged to Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local Union No. 9. Mr. Weldon was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Hickory Post 6166, Hermitage; and also belonged to First Slovak Workingman's Educational Club, Farrell. He was a fan of both NASCAR and football, rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Surviving are: his mother, Goldie Ritter, Hermitage; two sisters, Mrs. Richard (Diane) Conn, Allentown, Pa.; and Mrs. Donald (Cindy A.) Pacifico, Abbottstown, Pa.; one brother, Dennis Weldon and his wife Charlotte, Raleigh, N.C.; three nephews, Timothy J. and Christopher W. Weldon; and Anthony Pacifico. He was preceded in death by his father, John H. Weldon; and his stepfather, Ernest E. Ritter. WELDON Wilbert D. Graden Sharon Steel retiree was Hermitage volunteer fireman Wilbert D. Graden, 1640 Pine Hollow Blvd., Hermitage, passed away Friday (2-1-02) in the intensive care unit of Sharon Regional Health System following a brief illness. He was 82. He was born Jan. 4, 1920, in Vandergrift, Pa., to Charles and Gertrude Macfoos Graden. Mr. Graden served in the Army during World War II in the European Theater of Operations. He was employed as a slitter for 35 years at the former Sharon Steel Corp.'s Farrell plant, where he retired from the cold roll department in 1982. Mr. Graden was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Sharon. A volunteer firefighter, he was a life member of the Hermitage Volunteer Fire Department and a former member of the Vandergrift Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Graden was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting. Surviving are: his wife at home, Rita L. Ritter, whom he married May 11, 1946; three daughters, Mrs. Leona A. Watson, Youngstown; Mrs. Patricia A. Bechtel and her husband Robert, Hermitage; and Barbara A. Graden, at home; a sister, Mildred Czusack, Vandergrift; four granddaughters, Elizabeth DelBono, Rita Watson, and Sarah and Rachel Bechtel; and one great-grandson, Michael Joseph DelBono. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie and Mabel Shaffer; and six brothers, Raymond, Lawrence, Norman, Lloyd and Thomas Graden, and one infant, Charles II. GRADEN Deborah Ann Infante Sharon native was library worker in Niles Deborah Ann Infante, 123 Russell Ave., Niles, Ohio, died at 1 p.m. Thursday (1-31-02) in her residence after losing a two-year battle with cancer. She was 45. She was born Jan. 9, 1957, in Sharon to Joseph Knowles and Phyllis Cramer Smuke. A 1975 alumna of Niles McKinley High School, Mrs. Infante was employed 13 years by the McKinley Memorial Library, Niles, as a clerk librarian, reference librarian, microfilm technician and assistant children's librarian. She also worked at Niles McKinley High School as a library assistant for 15 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Niles. Mrs. Infante was involved with Friends of the Library; BEACON Cancer Support Groups; and enjoyed cooking, gardening, swimming and sewing. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Thomas A. Infante, whom she married at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church on Sept. 19, 1975; two daughters, Melissa and Sara Infante, both at home; one brother, James Knowles, Youngstown; two sisters, Mrs. James Gayle Snider, Novi, Mich.; and Karen Knowles, Niles; 10 nieces and six nephews; and several great- nieces and nephews.
INFANTE Ronald G. Seginak Ronald G. Seginak, 512 Lawrence Avenue, Girard, Ohio, died at 3:30 p.m. Saturday (2-2-02) in University Hospital, Cleveland. He was 70. Obituary information was incomplete.
SEGINAK Donald L. Ballard Sharpsville clubs member retired from New Castle plant Funeral services will be held Thursday in Indianapolis for Donald L. Ballard, 549 Fairbrook Way, Sharpsville, who died at 2:10 p.m. Friday (2-1-02) in his home. He was 67. He was born Aug. 18, 1934, in Hymera, Ind., to Leland A. and Blanche Heap Ballard. A 1954 alumna of Thomas Carr Howe High School, Indianapolis, Mr. Ballard attended Butler University in Indianapolis. He was a veteran of the Army. Mr. Ballard was a member of East Gate Christian Church, Indianapolis. Before retiring in 1994, he was employed for 35 years by Praxair, New Castle, a division of Union Carbide Corp. Mr. Ballard was an active member of the Sharpsville Service Club and a former member of the Sharpsville Boosters. Surviving are: his wife at home, Barbara L. Runyan Ballard, whom he married Aug. 9, 1957; one daughter, Mrs. Bryan (Jacquie L.) Roth, Hermitage; two sons, Phillip L. Ballard, Sharon; and Michael A. Ballard, Richmond, Ind.; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Enid Powell. BALLARD Edith Earcy Ritenour Campbell Obituary was published 2-2-02 Mrs. Campbell was an avid CB lover known as "Granny." A brother, Kenneth D. Ritenour, preceded her in death. Additional and corrected information was given to The Herald.
CAMPBELL Betty Stockman Ringbloom Homemaker, seamstress was New Wilmington sports fan Betty Stockman Ringbloom, 234 Francis St., New Wilmington, died unexpectedly of natural causes at 4 p.m. Friday (2-1-02) in her home. She was born in New Castle to Elmer Eugene and Bertha Watkins Stockman. A 1936 graduate of Union High School, Mrs. Ringbloom was a homemaker and seamstress. She was an active member of New Wilmington Alliance Church. Mrs. Ringbloom was an honorary member of the Westminster Towering Titans, an avid supporter of sports at Westminster College and a fan of Wilmington High School sports. Her husband, Lyman H. Ringbloom, Sr., whom she married Jan. 27, 1940, preceded her in death Oct. 11, 1992. Surviving are: two daughters, Betty Jeanne Aiken and her husband Robert, New Wilmington; and Sheryl "Sherry" Ann Wilkison and her husband Ron, New Castle; one son, Lyman H. "Bud" Ringbloom Jr. and his wife Marilyn, New Bedford; nine grandchildren, Maureen Cory, Aimee Woofter, Mark Aiken, Allysen Byers, Jodi Rugh, Joi Wilkison, Ron Wilkison, Jr., Kristen Ringbloom and Jessica Ringbloom; and nine great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Robert and Jack Stockman; one sister, Carol Ann Stockman; and an infant brother and infant sister.
