The following obituary is being reprinted from Wednesday to correct an error given to The Herald, as well as an incorrect name of a survivor printed by The Herald.

Marie M. Brozovich
Sharpsville homemaker was member of St. Joseph's

Marie M. Brozovich of Mertz Towers, 53 S. Mercer Ave. in Sharpsville, and formerly of Watson Street in Sharon, passed away at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday (7-2-02) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System following a lengthy illness. She was 84.

Mrs. Brozovich was born Jan. 19, 1918, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of Louis and Rose Knauss Hirtzy.

A homemaker, she was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Sharon.

Her husband, Anthony F. Brozovich, whom she married May 1, 1936, passed away Sept. 6, 1995.

She leaves: a daughter, Judith A. Brozovich, Sharpsville; a son, Anthony J. Brozovich and his wife Beth, Sharon; and a sister, Anna May Hirtzy; and a brother, Louis Hirtzy, both Pittsburgh.

She also leaves: three grandsons, David A. Brozovich and his wife Michele; Daniel A. Brozovich and his wife, Mary June; and Barry A. Brozovich; and five great-grandchildren, Scott, Ryan, Mackenzi, Cassidy and Carry.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Brozovich was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Schoeb and Rose Hirtzy.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Tony Razzano

Former Sharon teacher, coach was retired NFL scout

PALO ALTO, Calif. -- Tony Razzano, 725 Center Drive, Palo Alto, a native of New Castle, died Tuesday morning, July 2, 2002, in his residence. He was 77.

Mr. Razzano was born June 13, 1925, in New Castle to Giovanni Razzano and Albina Carbone Razzano.

He received both bachelor's and master's degrees in education from the University of Pittsburgh.

Mr. Razzano retired as director of college football scouting for the San Francisco 49ers. Previously, he worked for the Washington Redskins, San Diego Chargers and New England Patriots.

Initially in his career, Mr. Razzano taught school and coached football in Sharon School District.

A U.S. Army veteran, he served in Japan during World War II.

He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church of Palo Alto.

His wife, the former Carolyn Infante, whom he married Nov. 25, 1954, survives at home.

Also surviving are: three daughters, Robin Pezzimenti, Palo Alto; Lisa Dunbar, Ponte Pedra Beach, Fla.; and Elizabeth Razzano, Los Angeles; three sons, Thomas Razzano and Tony Razzano Jr., both Sacramento; and David Razzano, St. Louis; two brothers, Peter Razzano and D. John Razzano, both New Castle; three sisters, Nikki Piccuta and Rose Marino, both New Castle; and Julie Isolda, Jacksonville, Fla.; and eight grandchildren.

Mr. Razzano was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Michael Razzano; and three sisters, Archangela DeFelice, Lucy Ranucci and Stella Razzano.

Melvina J. McGranahan, 9 Penn Ave., Greenville, formerly of State College, Pa., died at 5:10 p.m. Wednesday (7-3-02) in the emergency room of UPMC Horizon, Greenville. She was 74.
