Doris E. Belleville
Longtime Hubbard woman was born in W. Middlesex

NILES, Ohio -- Doris E. Belleville, Niles, formerly of 2963 Pothour Wheeler Road, Hubbard, passed away Wednesday morning (1-1-03) in the Manor at Autumn Hills. She was 86.

Doris was born Aug. 13, 1916, in West Middlesex, a daughter of Clyde and Ethel Woods Ellison, and spent most of her life in Hubbard.

She was a cashier at Patton's Sparkle Market in Hubbard for 16 years, retiring in 1981.

Doris was a member of First United Methodist Church of Hubbard; and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Optimist Club of Hubbard; and was a volunteer for Hubbard Blood Bank and for Meals-on-Wheels.

Her husband, Elmer R. Belleville, whom she married Sept. 5, 1936, passed away May 6, 2001.

Doris leaves: a son, Buzz Belleville and his wife Jan, Hubbard; two daughters, Janice Gardinier Jones, wife of Rick, Cortland; and Connie S. Keller, wife of Bob, New Hampshire; and seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, her parents and a great-grandchild is deceased.

Ronald P. Blackburn

Ronald P. Blackburn, 13 Hewitt Road, West Middlesex, died unexpectedly at 5:10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2002, in UPMC Horizon, Farrell, of natural causes. He was 67.

Ruth A. Miller Bromley

New Castle woman had

daughter living in Sharon

NEW CASTLE -- Ruth A. Miller Bromley, 110 Okinawa Drive, New Castle, died at 12:15 a.m. Friday, Dec. 27, 2002, in Avalon Care Center. She was 86.

Mrs. Bromley was born April 30, 1916, in New Castle to Isaac Jacob Miller and Carrie Mae Knight Miller.

A graduate of New Castle High School, she was a former cook at Villa Maria, in the New Bedford area; and a dental assistant in the office of Dr. Alphern, New Castle.

Mrs. Bromley enjoyed singing, having participated in a community rendition of "The Messiah," as well as singing with her church.

She was a member of First Church of God in New Castle. She also belonged to the recreation center for seniors at First Presbyterian Church in New Castle and enjoyed swimming, crocheting and quilting.

Her husband, Samuel B. Bromley, is deceased.

Surviving are: two daughters, Elaine M. Hill, Sharon; and Barbara J. Nesmith, Yucaipa, Calif.; two sons, James H. Bromley, New Castle; and Richard A. Bromley, Riverside, Calif.; and 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Bromley was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Ronald Bromley and Samuel B. Bromley Jr.; one sister, Dorothy Guthie; and one brother, George Miller.

Jason A. Gladd

2000 graduate of GCHS,

Career Center was cook

Jason A. Gladd, a four-year resident of 635 S. Center St., Grove City, died at 2:50 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30, 2002, in a fire in his residence. He was 21.

Mr. Gladd was born Oct. 9, 1981, in Erie County to James E. Gladd and Theresa Ann Perry Gladd.

A 2000 alumnus of Grove City High School, he graduated from the auto body repair program at Mercer County Career Center.

Mr. Gladd was employed for two months as a cook at Burger King and formerly worked four years as a cook at West Main Street Diner, both Grove City.

He was a member of Church of the Beloved Disciple of Grove City.

He enjoyed bowling and automobiles.

Surviving are: his mother, Theresa Perry Donahey, Grove City; his father and stepmother, James E. and Jan Bonanni Gladd, Mercer; his grandparents, Nicholas and Genevieve Perry, Grove City; and Raymond and Dama Gladd, Fredonia; and his stepgrandmother, Mary Bonanni, Grove City.

Anne R. Kolesar

Sharon woman was born

in Austria-Hungary

Anne R. Kolesar, formerly of 638 Service Ave., Sharon, died Wednesday morning (1-1-03) in Clepper Manor, Sharon, following a long illness. She was 95.

Mrs. Kolesar was born March 8, 1907, in Austria-Hungary, a daughter of Michael and Anna Ragan Roskos.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Hermitage and formerly belonged to its Dorcas Society. She was also a member of Slovak Evangelical Union No. 62 (Jednota).

In her early years, Mrs. Kolesar had been employed at the former American Tin Plate Co. of Farrell.

Her husband, Michael F. Kolesar, died April 25, 1993.

She is survived by: a sister, Elizabeth Nedolsky, St. Clair Shore, Mich.; and a grandson, Michael A. Hilko, Humble, Texas.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Kolesar was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Beatrice "Bea" K. Hilko, who died Dec. 15, 2002; and a brother, George Roskos, who died in 1994.
