Lenora G. 'Moo' Tennant Moore Former Shenango Valley woman was homemaker YOUNGSTOWN -- A funeral service will be held Tuesday for Lenora G. "Moo" Tennant Moore, 684 Magnolia, Youngstown, formerly of the Shenango Valley. She passed away at 6:50 p.m. Thursday (11-14-02) in Northside Medical Center. She was 77. Mrs. Moore was born July 31, 1925, in Parkersburg, W.Va., a daughter of Henry Wood and Gertrude F. Saunders Wood. A homemaker, she was a member of First Baptist Church in Farrell, and its Nurses Guild. Her husband, Edward Moore, passed away earlier in 2002. Surviving are: two daughters, Gertrude F. Drake, Farrell; and Patricia M. Tennant, at home; and nine grandchildren, Eugene White Jr., Orlando, Fla.; Darlene M. Tennant, Youngstown; Linda A. White, Sharon; James D. White and Richard V. White, both Farrell; Lenora G. Carter, Hermitage; Mary Green and Michelle White, both Farrell; and Sheila White, Hermitage. Mrs. Moore also leaves 25 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Andrew Christian, Henry Wood and Elbert J. Christian Jr.; and nine sisters, Theresa Christian, Christina A. Duckworth, Leona Michael, Blanche Christian, Ruth M. Stewart, Mildred Gravely, Lula Wood, Anna Mae Birchfield and Mary Wood.
Thomas Blakeley Thomas Blakeley, 44 S. Third St., Sharpsville, died on Friday evening (11-15-02) in the emergency room of UPMC Horizon, Farrell. He was 39. Obituary information was incomplete.
Rose Marie Chnapko Sharon homemaker was member of St. Ann Church Rose Marie Chnapko, Cordia Commons at Shenango Inn, 1330 Kimberly Road, formerly of Malleable Street, both Sharon, died of natural causes at 12:45 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, 2002, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System after a brief illness. She was 73. Miss Chnapko was born Aug. 22, 1929, in Sharpsville to Stephen Chnapko and Mary Jelemensky Chnapko. Rose was a graduate of Erie (Pa.) Strong Vincent High School Class of 1948. A homemaker, she was a member of St. Ann Church in Farrell. Surviving are: two sisters, Mary Jane Chavara and Helen Chnapko, both Sharon; and two brothers, Edward Chnapko and Vincent James, both Cocoa Beach, Fla. Also surviving are: three nieces, Rosemary and her husband Tim Skero, Bridgeville, Pa.; Elaine and her husband David Simonik; and Jane and her husband Ken Griffith, all Hermitage; nine nephews, Joseph Chavara and his wife Barbara, Winter Park, Fla.; William Chavara; Thomas Chavara and his wife Lisa; and Charles Chavara and his wife Kelly, all Sharon; Michael Chavara and his wife Kathy, Sharpsville; John Chavara and his wife Patricia; and Timothy Chavara and his wife Diane, all Hermitage; David Chavara and his wife Kathy, Wexford, Pa.; and Richard Scott and his wife Virginia, Columbiana, Ohio; and a host of great-nephews and great-nieces. Rose was preceded in death by: her father on May 8, 1963; her mother, Jan. 4, 1970; four brothers, Rudolph Chnapko, Sept. 11, 1972; Leonard Chnapko, March 20, 1980; Stephen Chnapko, April 9, 1983; and Joseph Chnapko, Oct. 5, 1985; three sisters, Philomina Chnapko; Cidonia Chnapko, April 6, 1925; Ethel Ann Chnapko, Feb. 4, 2001; and a nephew, Stephen Chavara, who died Aug. 20, 1997. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Ann Church, 601 Fruit Ave., Farrell 16121.
Clarence Gordon Clarence Gordon, 25 Lake St., Stoneboro, died Saturday afternoon (11-16-02) in Woodland Place, Coolspring Township. Obituary information was incomplete.
