Gary E. Filer

Gary E. Filer, Mechanicsburg, Pa., formerly of Grove City, died of an apparent heart attack at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday (2-27-02) in Harrisburg. He was 58.

Mr. Filer was born Jan. 23, 1944, in Grove City to Floyd G. and Ellen Schultz Filer.

The Air Force veteran graduated in 1961 from Grove City High School and in 1965 from Grove City College.

He was an accountant with Pennsylvania Department of Revenue in Stawberry Square.

Mr. Filer was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Grove City; and London Grange.

He was a former member and past master of Hemlock Grange.

Surviving are: one sister, Mrs. F. Glenn (Margaret F.) Hartley; and one nephew, David G. Hartley, both Canastota, N.Y.

His parents preceded him in death.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, 59 N. Crescent Drive, Hermitage 16148.
