Michael J. Kushner Michael J. Kushner, Hermitage, died at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday (3-27-02) in John XXIII Home, Hermitage. He was 87. Obituary information was incomplete.
KUSHNER Eva McClure Parker Retired Hermitage teacher belonged to Hickory U.M. WARREN, Ohio -- Eva McClure Parker, 500 Sycamore Trail, Cortland, formerly of Hermitage, died of pneumonia at 2:35 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2002, in Trumbull Memorial Hospital. She was 96. Mrs. Parker was born Nov. 14, 1905, in Lincoln Township, Allegheny County, to Robert McClure and Sue Finney McClure. She retired in 1961 after 26 years as a teacher in what was Hickory School System in Hermitage. Mrs. Parker was a member of Hickory United Methodist Church in Hermitage; New Virginia Old Home Day Association; the Over 70 Club; and Mercer County Teachers Association. Her husband, Clifford Robert Parker, whom she married June 14, 1935, died Sept. 4, 1995. Surviving are: one son, Vern Parker and his wife Ingrid, Cortland; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her parents; a twin sister, Elma McClearn; and two brothers, Ward McClure and Glen McClure. PARKER Earl A. Reigelman WWII vet, railroad retiree formerly lived in Greenville A funeral and committal service will be held Friday for Earl A. Reigelman, Hempfield Township, formerly of 48 Clarksville St., Greenville. He died at 7:25 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2002, in White-Cliff Nursing Home, Hempfield Township. He was 86. Mr. Reigelman was born June 21, 1915, in Greenville to Arthur A. Reigelman and Edna Mae Hockins Reigelman. A graduate of the former Penn High School in Greenville and Dyke College of Commerce in Cleveland, he retired Dec. 13, 1978, after 28 years from Erie Lackawanna Railroad, Mahoning Division in Youngs-town, where he was a locomotive engineer. Mr. Reigelman was of the Lutheran faith. A U.S. Army Air Corps veteran, he served as a radio operator gunner from 1942 to 1945 during World War II. Mr. Reigelman belonged to Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3374, Hempfield Township; American Legion Post 140; and was a life member of Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge 145, both Greenville. Surviving are: his companion for more than 60 years, Cecil M. Perrine; one sister, Mrs. Robert C. (Irene) Kirkner; one nephew, Earl "Dax" Kirkner; and one niece, Linda Broadbent, all Greenville. Mr. Reigelman was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 288 Main St., Greenville 16125.
REIGELMAN Marie A. Reiter Sharon city clerk co-owned Masury business, was boater Marie A. Reiter of 199 S. Myers Ave., Sharon, passed away unexpectedly at 7:45 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2002, in the emergency room of UPMC Horizon, Farrell. She was 50. Born Sept. 23, 1951, in Sharon, Mrs. Reiter was a daughter of C. Melvin Horsman and Theodora Metz Horsman. A 1969 graduate of Hickory High School in Hermitage, she attended Edinboro University of Pennsylvania's former Farrell campus and graduated from Shenango Valley School of Business in Sharon. Marie was the city clerk for the City of Sharon for the past year and had previously been employed in the Accounts Payable Division of the treasurer's department for the City of Sharon for about 13 years. An avid boater and member of the Conneaut (Ohio) Yacht Club, she and her husband owned and operated a charter fishing boat on Lake Erie for many years. They also owned and operated Reiter's Unlimited and Reiter's Towing in Masury for the past 30 years. Mrs. Reiter was a member of the Pymatuning Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, where she was currently serving as treasurer. On June 14, 1974, she married Thomas Reiter in New Virginia United Methodist Church in Hermitage. He survives her at home. Mrs. Reiter also leaves: one son, Thomas C. Reiter, a student at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, at home; her mother, Hermitage; one sister, Gayle L. Hyde, McKeesport, Pa.; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert and Cathy Reiter, Sharpsville; her mother-in-law, Margaret A. Reiter, Sharon; two nephews, Rick C. Hyde and his wife Maria, Pittsburgh; and Brian Reiter, Waynesburg, Pa.; and two grand-nephews, Brenden Franks and Justin Franks, both Pittsburgh. Mrs. Reiter was preceded in death by her father.
REITER Beatrice Ellen Smith Local homemaker known for her beautiful handiwork A memorial service will be held Saturday for Beatrice Ellen Smith, Cordia Commons at the Shenango Inn, Sharon, formerly of Farrell and Charleston-Greenville Road, Mercer. She died at 7 p.m. Tuesday (3-26-02) in UPMC Horizon, Farrell. She was 93. Mrs. Smith was born Sept. 26, 1908, in Farrell to William Richards and Elizabeth Thomas Richards. She attended Farrell High School. A homemaker, Mrs. Smith was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Hermitage. She was known for her beautiful designs in tatting, crocheting and knitting. Her husband, Paul L. Smith, whom she married May 14, 1932, is deceased. Surviving are: one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Lois) Allen, 607 Salt Spray Circle, Corolla, N.C. 27927; one son, Paul Fred Smith and his wife Pat, 8257 Highland St., Manassas, Va. 20110-3615; three grandchildren, Jerry D. Smith and his wife Linda, Manassas; Mrs. Clayton (Denise Allen) Wagner, Bethlehem, Pa.; and Mrs. J.T. (Heidi Allen) Corsello, Champion, Pa.; and five great-grandchildren, Alexander Smith, Manassas; Ben, Allison and Melinda Wagner, Bethlehem; and Nicole Corsello, Champion. Besides her husband, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Louise Lucas; and one brother, William Thomas. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
