Today's obituaries Susan LaRue Fales Fleeger GC woman worked for Butler County nurses group Susan LaRue Fales Fleeger, 832 S. Center St., Grove City, died Monday morning (2-5-01) at home. She was 48. Mrs. Fleeger was born Nov. 2, 1952, in Grove City to Clarence S. Fales and Grace Surrena Fales. A 1970 alumna of Grove City High School, she was a nursing assistant for Visiting Nurses Association of Butler County. Mrs. Fleeger was a Protestant. Surviving are: a daughter, Brandi D. Sloan, Philadelphia; a son, Shane R. Sloan; her mother; and a sister, Shirley Geary, all Grove City; and two brothers, Gary R. Fales, Germany; and Virgil F. Fales, Knox, Pa. She was preceded in death by her father.
FLEEGER Joseph Haniak Joseph Haniak, 7370 Brookwood Drive, Brookfield, died at 8:05 p.m. Tuesday (2-6-01) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. He was 80. Obituary information was incomplete.
HANIAK Robert H. Usher Jr. Self-employed carpenter lived in Sharon Robert H. Usher Jr., 149 E. State St., Apartment 3, Sharon, died at 7:01 p.m. Saturday (2-3-01) at home. He was 45. Mr. Usher was born May 9, 1955, in Youngstown to Robert H. Usher Sr. and Natalie Dedon Usher. A self-employed carpenter, he was a Protestant. Mr. Usher enjoyed hunting and fishing. Surviving are: his mother, Orange Park, Fla.; a son, Robert H. Usher III, Altoona; four stepbrothers, Thomas and Mark Sanson, both Masury; David Sanson, Rhode Island; and Stephen Sanson, Sharon; a sister, Karen Lynn Partridge, Greensboro, N.C.; and a stepsister, Sherry Denton, Orange Park. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Shawn Paul Usher.
USHER Henrietta Scott Ex-Sharon woman belonged to Baptist church in Farrell FOWLER -- Funeral will be Saturday for Henrietta Scott, Fowler, formerly of Sharon. She died at 1:46 p.m. Monday (2-5-01) in Meadowbrook Nursing Home of heart failure. She was 86. Mrs. Scott was born April 17, 1914, in Bennettsville, S.C., to Benjamin Watson and Florence Burns Watson. A homemaker, she was a member of First Baptist Church, Farrell. Her husband, William Scott, whom she married Nov. 8, 1941, died June 10, 1961. Surviving are: a sister-in-law, Mary Watson, Masury; a stepbrother, Theodore Wright, Wallace, S.C.; four grandchildren, Isaiah Deas Jr., Lawrence T. Deas, Henrietta C. Smith and Mrs. Gregory (Helyn) Claiborne, all Farrell; and eight great-grandchildren, Lamar Claiborne, Leland and Devin Smith, Keith and Brittany Claiborne and Antonio Smith, all Farrell; Derek Deas, Euclid, Ohio; and Katarina Deas, Hermitage. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth L. Deas; two sisters, Wilma Wright and Preola Blunt; two brothers, Jake and Arthur Watson; and two stepbrothers, Lawrence and Lewis Wright.
SCOTT John D. ‘Jack’ Walker Sharon Steel retiree was Mason, WM church elder John D. "Jack" Walker, 512 Bedford Road, Shenango Township, died at 2 a.m. Wednesday (2-7-01) at home after a lengthy illness. He was 75. Mr. Walker was born June 21, 1925, in Shenango Township to John G. Walker and Mabel Byham Walker. He retired in 1991 after 36 years from the former Sharon Steel Corp.’s Farrell plant, for which he was an electrical foreman. An Army veteran, Mr. Walker served in the 82nd Airborne Division in Europe during World War II. As a member of West Middlesex Presbyterian Church, he served as an elder and trustee. Mr. Walker also belonged to Free and Accepted Masons Kedron Lodge 389, West Middlesex; and Scottish Rite’s New Castle Consistory. Surviving are: his wife, the former Hedy Schreiner, whom he married Aug. 7, 1947; two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Karen) Maniche, Willoughby, Ohio; and Mrs. Timothy (Laurie) Dornak, Res-ton, Va.; a son, Raymond Walker, Hudson, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Samuel (Rachel) Vassen, West Middlesex; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Harold Walker. Memorial contributions may be made to West Middlesex Presbyterian Church, 3082 Main St., West Middlesex 16159.
WALKER Anna Zickar Anna Zickar, John XXIII Home, Hermitage, formerly of Shenango Boulevard, Farrell, died at 10 p.m. Tuesday (2-6-01) in UPMC Horizon, Farrell. She was 92. Obituary information was incomplete.
